Been There Reviews

Been There is AA Tourism’s rate and review platform. Recommendations of friends and family have always been an important influence, now people can view the opinions of total strangers by reading the Been There reviews.

I designed the Been There Logo, ribbon and rating elements, these are used on significant areas throughout the website like the booking engine, banner adverts, accommodation pages and the admin panel.

A simplified smaller version of the rating icon also appears in the Mobile application.

Hot Deals

An easy-to-use search platform for users to quickly find interesting and relevant deals, also allowing users to narrow the criteria and affect the results displayed. Search can also be narrowed down with a map featured under the search panel.

The first page of the section will always populate with the deals that are editorially “starred”, newest and last-chance deals (ending within a week) (so there are deals populating the page when the user first arrives).

Fixed Banners

Fixed banners are a paid accommodation advertisement that appears at the top of search results page. Clients and online staff have the ability to add, edit and review fixed banners via a client admin panel.

Fixed banner supports a 7day booking calendar, rotating images, been there ratings, hot deal status and basic text details.

Preferred Supply Chain

The Preferred Chain Search feature allow's visitors to the AAT and AAAT websites to search for accommodation belonging to a specific Hotel Chain. Displaying chains on a Map, NZ uses the Geo Smart API and Australia uses the Google Maps API.
